Fresno State adds another North Shore standout

Galena Park (Texas) North Shore linebacker Daniel Salinas was the heartbeat of one of the toughest defenses in the state.
While North Shore fell to the Hightower Hurricanes last weekend, Salinas' fate was sealed last week.

"Daniel committed to Fresno State last Thursday before the game," defensive coordinator Jon Kay said. "We are going to miss his production, but we are really going to miss how he took the defense underclassmen under his wing and coached them. He is a true leader."
Salinas will be officially visiting Fresno State in December along with teammate Terrance Kindle, who also committed to the Bulldogs. They are joining former Mustang Chase McEntee, who played on Frenso's defensive line as a true freshman. They may make it three 2009 Mustang commits as defensive lineman Jestin White is also nearing an offer from Fresno State.
"I know Chase really likes it at Fresno State and it helps to have someone there already to show you around," Salinas said. "We are excited about getting up there."
The 6-foot-1 Salinas was a two-time all-district selection at North Shore and is an early graduate.
