Fresno program loaded in the secondary

Last week, we talked about the great reputation Fresno (Calif.) Edison has in putting out great defensive backs year in and year out. We spotlighted cornerback Robert Golden, who already has early offers, as does Brandon Leslie who should be one of the top safety prospects in the state next year.
Leslie, 6-0, 195 pounds caught our eye at the NorCal NIKE Camp last spring and was recently named 2nd team all-combine at the recent Army All-American combine.

"He has to be as good as any safety in the state," longtime Edison DB coach Tony Perry said. "He's the total package, he can run, hit and cover. He works hard, has a 3.5 GPA and is a great kid. By the time the summer rolls around, he should be one of those kids that has double digit offers."
On the recruiting front, Leslie already has a pair of early offers and said three schools stand out right now.
"Nebraska was the first to offer me," Leslie said. "Stanford offered as well but I doubt that's still on the table since Coach Harris and the old staff was let go. Right now, my top three is Notre Dame, Nebraska and Washington.
"With Notre Dame, I've always loved their tradition and I think Coach Weis is a great coach and doing a good job there. I've always liked Nebraska, ever since I was a kid I've been a fan and it means a lot that they were the first to offer me. With Washington, I know J.D Williams pretty well because he recruited some Edison players while he was at Cal. He's a great coach and someone I would enjoy playing for.
"My plan right now is to try and take some unofficial visits during the summer and then I want to make an early decision. If I could be committed sometime in June, that would be great. I'm not sure what team camps I'm going to right now. I know I'm going to Cal's Junior Day and I think I might be going to UCLA's Junior Day as well."
