Freshman DL talks early offers

Football has been in Taron Vincent's life for years. His dad is a powerful member of the NFL Players Association and his brother is playing in college.
The freshman defensive lineman at Baltimore (Md.) Gilman School already has offers to play at the next level.

The offers Vincent knows he has are from Maryland, Ohio State and N.C. State but there could be more he hasn't found out about yet.
"I was shocked Maryland did that well in their first season in the Big Ten," said the 6-foot-3, 285-pound Vincent. "We talk to Coach Locksley a lot. I like him a lot. I like coach Wilt too.
"I like coach Johnson at Ohio State because he recruited my brother," he said. "He's close to the family and everybody knows him.
"I think N.C. State is on the rise," Vincent said. "I like coach Nielsen of the defensive line coach. I think I was there for the North Carolina game."
Vincent held an offer from Brady Hoke's staff at Michigan but hasn't heard from the new staff yet.
"The old staff at Michigan offered me," he said. "We were there for the Maryland game. We saw the big house and there were a lot of people there. I'm interested in seeing what the new staff can do."
It sounds like Vincent will spend a lot of time on the road this offseason going to spring games.
"We are going to spring games at UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan State and Michigan," said Vincent. "I want to go to LSU also."
Vincent helped Gilman to an eight win season last year.
