Freeman works hard in Shrine Bowl

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Pelion, S.C., four-star offensive lineman Dalton Freeman is one of the few top uncommitted players playing in this week's North Carolina-South Carolina Shrine Bowl.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder said he is working hard this week to impress and could see action at either guard or tackle.

"They haven't told me where I'm going to be playing in the game yet," Freeman said. "I came in playing left guard, but they may mix in some left tackle. But really in this type of game, you have to know how to play all five (positions)."
Freeman said he's still not ready to make a decision in the recruiting front. He has a top six narrowed down, though.
"I have narrowed it down to six – South Carolina, Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida State and Colorado," he said. "They're all pretty even."
Even though practices are just starting up, Freeman said he's already built good friendships with some of the other guys in the game.
"Oh yeah, Kenneth Page, T.J. Johnson, Daquan Bowers, A.J. Green are all good guys," "There are a lot of good guys and they are fun to be around."
Freeman has already visited Florida State, Colorado and Penn State. He was originally scheduled to visit Illinois on Dec. 14. He also has scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia Georgia Tech, Maryland and others.
