Freeman following in schools tradition

Houston Cy Falls all-purpose back Jack Freeman's recruiting process is really heating up quickly as schools are sending frequent mail with hints of an offer very close.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound speedster has shown his abilities since his freshman year as a dangerous kick/punt returner, running back, defensive back, and wide receiver. Playing with future college stars like Terrence Nunn, Ricky Price, and Andre Sexton. Freeman keeps up with his former teammates and looks to follow in their footsteps as top performers in the college ranks.

"Yeah, I played behind Terrence Nunn and Price when I first started out," Freeman said about the beginning of his varsity career. "I still talk to those guys a lot. I talked to Terrence the week of the Alamo Bowl and I keep up with Andre the most."
Arkansas, Missouri, Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Texas A&M are the schools sending mail. With former teammate Nunn, it is ironic where he thinks his first offer may come from.
"I'm hearing that Nebraska could be offering, but I'm not completely sure about that," Freeman said. "I'm waiting to see what happens. My favorites are probably Texas Tech and Arkansas right now. They both have strong track teams along with football, and I want to pursue both in college."
Freeman says that he is still learning about Missouri and Nebraska and that is why his favorites are other programs currently.
"I'm keeping the doors open on all the schools," Freeman said.
As for position, that is very much up in the air. He would like to play receiver, but any where on the field can be handled.
"I would definitely like receiver, but I won't count out anything," Freeman said. "I could play defensive back because I've played there before. I'd even love to return kids. I'm very comfortable on offense where I can press the ball for points. Arkansas likes me at receiver and they liked that it's the position I really like."
After taking in the first Texas A&M junior day, the NIKE Training Camp is the next planned stop for Freeman. Due to a hefty track schedule, he missed out on taking in the Texas Tech junior day.
"I really wanted to make that one," he said. "It's just tough this time of year to make everything."
