Freddie Parish will hit the road

One of the nation’s top defensive backs didn’t even start last season. There is no harm in that when the player in front of you was Darnell Bing. Once again Long Beach (Calif.) Poly has a great safety prospect in Freddie Parish (6-1, 195, 4.49).
Parish is currently rated by Rivals.com as the nation’s # 71 prospect in the nation. He currently stands as the nation’s #6 safety prospect and he is rated by Pac10Recruiting as the state of California’s #9 prospect at any position.

Now that is pretty heady stuff when you consider last year at this time Parish was a back-up. This young man is a testimony of what hard work can do for you.
Parish trains with the Phenomenon Factory whose owner is Charles Collins. Collins has quite a track record helping athletes make it to the D1 level and beyond.
Parish has to be one of the most interesting recruiting stories of the season. Because of his work at the Phenomenon Factory and his performances combines parish saw his status soar from sleeper to major big time prospect.
Parish has offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Stanford, UCLA, and Washington. He has set up official visits to Notre Dame on September 6th and Washington September 27th.
This talented defensive back had nice things to say about Washington Husky coach Rick Neuheisel. “I really like Coach (Rick) Neuheisel,” Parish said. “I met him when I was a sophomore and he was real cool.”
“Neuheisel didn’t care if I was Herschell Dennis or Darnell Bing,” Parish said. “He came off like a coach who cared.”
UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Michigan are also very much in the hunt for the services of this talented player.
The scouting report on Parish is he hits like a Mack truck and has playmaking capabilities. Another thing for you to consider is – Freddie’s best days on the gridiron are ahead of him. Another thing to like about Parish is he is very competitive and doesn’t duck anything. He wants to compete.
Pac10Recruiting will have more on Parish in the very near future…
