Frankson emerging from shadow

While Damion Square and Leroy Chevalier are grabbing all of the headlines at Houston's Jack P. Yates High School, defensive end Kenneth Frankson is receiving steady interest from several schools.
"Yeah, I'm hearing from some schools," Frankson said. "It's mostly mail but I'm getting some text messages from Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Alabama and UConn."

It's no surprise that he's hearing from Texas A&M, seeing that Square and Chevalier verbally committed to the Aggies in early February. Frankson (6-foot-2, 225-pounds) and Square also attended Alabama's junior day in late February.
"Right now I'm focused on getting bigger and stronger," Frankson said. "I'm going to hit some camps this summer and show out in spring practice."
The Yates defensive line should be its strength with all-district returners Square and Frankson stopping the run and pressuring the quarterback. Yates reached the second-round of the playoffs before falling to Class 4A state champion La Marque High School.
"He's got a good first step and has one of those frames to put some size on," Yates defensive coordinator Jeff Ceasar said. "He's a hard worker and will get some looks."
