Franks puts everything on hold

Don't ask Tulsa (Okla.) Union cornerback Dominique Franks where he's headed for college just yet, let alone where he's taking his official visits.
Right now, the 5-foot-11, 178-pound defender that has sparked big time recruiting interest is waiting to hear from a couple of schools being Miami and Oklahoma. With coaches taking their vacation at this time of the year, Franks should know soon whether or not an offer will be heading his way.

"When they get back, I should know what's happening," Franks said. "That's going to tell me what schools to visit and which schools to set up trips to. I don't want to make a list too early when it could change."
Franks is listing Tennessee, Arizona State, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech as the schools to beat early. However, it's not all sown up with an ever-changing list on his hands.
"If Miami offers it would shake things up for sure," Franks said. "To be honest, if Oklahoma offers I really don't think it would change much. I don't want to stay in the state, so it wouldn't make a huge difference."
Franks is still set on putting a commitiment out there when the time is right and he is clear on who will offer and who won't.
"I don't know yet," he said. "I just want to see who really comes through here. Then I'll have that feeling, I'll just know that I'm ready to commit."
Franks is rated as the No. 6 overall prospect in the state of Oklahoma.
