Franks enjoys trip to AM

Orange (Texas) West Orange Stark athlete Kerry Franks committed to Texas A&M in the spring. But, he has been planning a few other visits for quite a while.
“I went to the Texas – Texas A&M game over the weekend,” the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Franks said. “It was really good, real nice. I had a good time. I got to talk to a lot of the coaches when I was there. Coach Fran was at press conference after the game so I didn’t get to talk to him.”

Did the trip to College Station make Franks want to not visit other schools and firm up his commitment to the Aggies?
“I’m going to still take my visits,” he said. “My mom wants me to go and look around a little bit and make sure Texas A&M is the best place. I just am looking at the others to compare things at A&M to. The coaches at A&M told me when I’m committed, I’m committed. But, they understood when I told them my mom and dad wanted me to look around. They know what I’m doing.”
Franks will visit Texas A&M officially the weekend of December 12. He has January visits scheduled to Arkansas (Jan. 9), Oklahoma State (Jan. 16) and LSU (Jan. 23).
On the season, Franks ran for 1,094 yards on 157 carries with 16 touchdowns. He also had 201 receiving yards on nine catches with two touchdowns.
