Franklin: USC recruiting hardest

Darrian Franklin has taken note that UCLA has beaten USC for three straight seasons but he said it won't influence his recruitment because he likes both schools.
The 2016 four-star linebacker from Downey, Calif., was one of many top prospects at the Rose Bowl two weekends ago when the Bruins won again and he said it was definitely an impressive performance.

"I did go to the game," Franklin said.
"At first I thought SC was going to get them but that didn't turn out to be the case. It was a cool experience and a lot of my friends were there. It's not that much of a big deal. I like both schools."
Franklin, rated as the ninth-best outside linebacker and the No. 103 prospect in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, has already landed offers from Arizona State, Cal, Miami, Michigan, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington.
The four-star standout said the Trojans are coming after him the hardest and he appreciates the attention but it's still too early to name a clear frontrunner.
"I think USC is recruiting me the hardest," Franklin said. "They message me on Twitter every week."
There is plenty of big-time interest coming in as well. Franklin, who has 75 tackles and eight sacks so far this season with Downey still in the playoffs, is excited to see if more offers could be coming soon. Some schools have reached out recently.
"Michigan State is starting to hit me up now and the Texas A&M coach followed me on Twitter so those could be the next two, I don't know," Franklin said.
