Three-star John Tyler (Texas) offensive tackle Marquis Franklin has brought his total to five official written scholarship offers and is waiting to hear on another school that could possibly make six.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder was offered by Nebraska within the last few weeks and says that he still has a familiar school at the top of the list.
"I'm still going with LSU," Franklin said about his favorite. "When I went down there, they made a verbal offer to me and they told my coach that the written offer was going to come. That was around spring break."
Franklin says despite having a leader, he's planning more visits.
"I've got some more set up, but the dates aren't firm," Franklin said. "I know I'm going to go to Oklahoma State and Miami. That will probably be either during or after the season."
No other visits are planned this summer. He took in the Texas A&M camp and made a stop at a UTEP satellite camp.
"Everywhere I go, they tell me the same thing," Franklin said. "Like A&M said that they wanted me to go there real bad. They're up there, that's another school that I'm looking at pretty hard."
