Three-star Tyler (Texas) John Tyler offensive tackle Marquis Franklin has a favorite and he's keeping it quiet.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder has drawn scholarship offers from the likes of Baylor, Houston, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech to name a few. Franklin says that next week he'll announce his favorite and has one official visit set up so far.
"I'm going to Oklahoma State on Jan. 12 and next week I'm going to let you guys know who's the favorite," Franklin said. "The main three schools I'm looking at right now are Oklahoma State, Nebraska, and Texas A&M.
"It's safe to say I'll visit OSU and the other two."
The biggest factor for Franklin when he started narrowing down his list was which coaches came by during the spring and fall to show interest.
Texas A&M also looks to be in good position.
"I just don't have the date set up for that one yet," Franklin said about the Aggies. "OSU is the only one I know for sure right now."
Franklin is rated as the No. 52 offensive tackle in the country.
