Franklin recaps two trips

Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney offensive tackle Eric Franklin is playing some great football in 2009, and his team is 4-0. You'll have to forgive him if he has put the recruiting process on hold.
It's understandable that a young man would want to devote his attention to there here and now, and for Franklin that means his senior season.

"Everybody's playing good," he said. "The offense, defense and special teams. Everybody's playing good. I feel good about my pass pro (protection)."
Despite focusing primarily on his senior year, Franklin has managed to spend a little time thinking about his future. He has attended a couple of college games recently that involved schools he has offers from.
"I haven't set up officials yet," he said. "That will be later on down the line. I'm doing all of them after the season. Things have been pretty calm recruiting-wise, but I've been to a couple of games here and there.
"I went to Michigan State-Central Michigan. The only thing I really got to see was the stadium and the tailgating. It was cool there. I did talk to coach (Pat) Narduzzi before everything. I went to OSU-Toledo, too. I didn't get to talk to the (Ohio State) coaches, I guess because it wasn't a home game for them."
Franklin still has not named a favorite or a group of favorites at this point.
