Franklin ready for the move

Practices start on Monday in the state of Missouri and nobody is more pumped up and ready for them than North Kansas City, Mo., two-star athlete Stephen Franklin.
The 6-foot, 208-pounder is ready because he'll be moving to a new position and hopefully the move will continue to allow him more exposure to college coaches.

"I'm moving to H-back this year almost exclusively," Franklin, the No. 21 player in Missouri, said. "I won't get to run the ball as much, but this will allow me to catch some passes and go out more as a receiver. It's more like what I'll be playing when I'm in college.
"We start on Monday and go from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. It'll be a long day, but we're ready for it."
Franklin still has only one scholarship offer from Kansas State. He's still talking with Northwestern and Kansas, also.
"I haven't talked to K-State in a while, but I've been talking to Northwestern and trying to stay in touch with Kansas," Franklin said. "I think most teams are gearing up for the season, so they're really busy.
"I wanted to get up to K-State since they've offered me, but I've not gotten to get up there. I wanted to see what it's like around campus and around town."
Either way, Franklin said he's not in a major rush to make a big decision. He wants to let his senior season play out before he commits.
