Franklin raves about Oregon

Darrian Franklin has always had serious interest in Oregon and after a recent unofficial visit there the four-star linebacker is taking an even closer look.
The Downey, Calif., standout said he was blown away by his trip to Eugene and the Ducks have quickly shot up to the top of his list.

"It was really nice up there," Franklin said. "I got a chance to talk with coach (Don Pellum) and sit in with the linebackers and see who they have and really don't have and what they need.
"I liked how the facilities were set up and how the academic and athletic facilities were on different sides of campus and just everybody was cool up there. The people were really welcoming up there. I liked it a lot.
"It's breathtaking when you go up there. You have to go up there with a straight head because you'll get carried away. It's really nice."
Oregon has moved into a leadership position for Franklin, who said he's still very serious about USC and UCLA. The Ducks definitely impressed him but the four-star linebacker did not want to say they were the clear frontrunner in his recruitment.
"I'm very interested in them," Franklin said. "I like them a lot. They're in my top two. I like them a lot."
The Downey linebacker is expected to visit UCLA Monday and another trip to USC is not out of the question. He also wants to see what goes on with other programs because Franklin has been talking more to LSU and wants to see if the Tigers offer.
"I want to talk to all those coaches and see how everything is going," Franklin said.
In his junior season, Franklin finished with 88 tackles and eight sacks.
