Franklin putting officials off

Though Eric Franklin has declined to set official visits thus far, don't take that as a sign that he plans on avoiding those trips altogether.
The 6-foot-7, 290-pound offensive tackle from Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney is perfectly content to enjoy his senior season and all that it has to offer before he turns his attention to the recruiting process.

That's just what he's doing, and it explains why he hasn't even started to talk about official visits yet. It's why he refuses to talk about favorites or narrowing his list as well.
Though Franklin has said he has not been in contact with any coaches from schools that haven't offered he would probably be open to other schools that come along from here on out.
"Everything's still the same for me right now," Franklin explained. "I'm open to everyone who's open to me. I haven't thought about officials yet. I'm gonna wait until after the season to take them.
"I'm just pretty much focused on my senior year of high school. I'm just worried about playing football this year."
Cardinal Mooney and Franklin are off to a good start, though they have just played one game so far. They won their first game of the season on Friday night 23-17.
"I think we did pretty good," he said. "I did pretty good, too. I'm doing a better job of just getting to my assignments and being aggressive with them."
