Franklin close to another big offer

Darrian Franklin had a big junior season and has loaded up with early offers but another major Pac-12 one could be on the way.
"Oregon is supposed to offer me by the end of this month," Franklin said. "That's the only thing that's pretty for sure.

"I like Oregon a lot. That's one of the schools where I could see myself and I would be open-minded about going there."
The four-star linebacker from Downey, Calif., already has Arizona State, Cal, Miami, Michigan, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington on his offer list so things are going well for the 2016 prospect.
Last week, Michigan and USC coaches stopped by his school and those are two programs he definitely wants to keep on his radar.
"Michigan came by on Thursday to talk to me and maybe something will work out with them," Franklin said. "I like them a lot. For me, coming in to play early is what they're saying and they want me to have an open mind. I like that a lot. Michigan is a top school."
USC is definitely one of the frontrunners early on but the four-star linebacker said he doesn't want to name any school the outright leader at this point.
"USC came earlier that day, too," Franklin said. "They're starting to pick up now and coaches are starting to come by.
"USC is always going to be strong. It's the hometown and I've always liked SC. I wouldn't say they're a leader but I like them a lot."
Franklin finished his junior season with 88 tackles and eight sacks. Rivals.com rates Franklin as the ninth-best outside linebacker in the 2016 class.
