Franklin adding offers quickly

It's obviously going to be a strong year for Celina (Texas) High School with players such as Troy Franklin lining up for their senior seasons.
Franklin, the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder, is one of the more versatile prospects in the North Texas area. While most people like his ability as a defensive player, more interest has been coming as of late for his abilities as an offensive lineman at the next level. He's also gathered his first two scholarship offers rather quickly.

"I've got an offer from Tulsa and then a week later, I got offered by UNT," Franklin said. "I also went up to Arkansas with D'Anton Lynn. The offensive coordinator, coach (David) Lee was really excited about me. He wants me to play offensive line and wants me at center.
"All of the other schools that have offered have been saying they want me at offensive tackle."
Franklin says that he likes his options on either side of the ball.
"I thought I was going to be a defensive tackle, but from what they're telling me, I'd be a whole lot better on the offensive line," he said.
Franklin says that he doesn't have any favorite schools yet. He's keeping his options open and looking at upcoming trips.
"I'm going to Arkansas and then maybe catch SMU, OU, or OSU some time," Franklin said. "I've been going to OU and OSU a lot."
As for a commitment, Franklin says that he'll most likely wait to make the best decision.
"The way I'm looking at it, I'm going to look at which school is telling me the truth and which school waited for a while for me to prove myself," he said. "It's a ways away."
