Francois takes second official

Three-star defensive end Giovani Francois out of Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise took his second straight official visit this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder made his way to Cincinnati.
"I just got back yesterday," he said. "It went well, the visit was great. I liked all the coaches and the stadium was top notch. I had a great time, it was nice."

What did the three-star prospect do on the trip?
"On Friday all we did was eat," he said. "I met with my host, talked to the coaches, went to the hotel and talked to the other recruits.
"I liked how the coaching staff was, everything I heard was positive. Everyone had good things to say and everybody is ready to move on after a tough year being 4-8. With a new coach and new scheme, that's not a bad thing."
Meanwhile, did Cincinnati offer?
"Coach Jones said they are going to meet sometime this week and they'll let me know whether or not they will offer me," he said. "They are really excited about me and love me, but they are going to have a meeting to discuss offering me."
From here, Francois plans to head to Temple next weekend.
"I think Temple may be my last visit."
Still, last week's visit looks like it may be the leader.
"Right now as everything goes FIU is No. 1," he said. "When I look at Temple and Cincinnati, both have completely new coaching staffs. Florida International has great coaches and they led the team to the conference championship and a bowl win."
