Fourth offer for McGlinchey

Junior offensive lineman Mike McGlinchey of Philadelphia (Pa.) Penn Charter has become a very popular recruit in recent weeks. With college coaches able to visit schools again, McGlinchey has attracted a ton of attention and also picked up his fourth offer earlier this week.
"I've been hearing from a bunch of schools pretty consistently," said McGlinchey, who is now 6-foot-9 and 280-pounds. "It's been fun to know that I will have options. There have been schools coming in every week since their seasons ended."

McGlinchey picked up early offers from Boston College, Virginia and Duke, and has hosted coaches from Boston College, Virginia, Rutgers, Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Syracuse at his school in recent weeks. One of these schools recently became his fourth offer.
"Rutgers offered this week as well," said McGlinchey, who also believes that Maryland and Syracuse may be close to offering. "I'm taking a visit on Saturday and I hope to get a feel for the coaching staff and the environment at Rutgers."
McGlinchey has not taken any recent visits and does not have any planned aside from his trip to Rutgers this Saturday.
"I plan on doing some in the future," said McGlinchey. "I just have to plan it out with my family."
Finally, McGlinchey discussed his junior season at Penn Charter.
"We went 5-5," said McGlinchey. "We could've won a few games that we didn't, but it was a solid season. I am a much better athlete now. I am stronger, faster and in a lot better shape than I was last year."
