Fourth offer arrives for Tweedy

The summer hasn't gone quite as Alex Tweedy had envisioned. As his team prepares for the Texas State 7 on 7 Tournament, The Woodlands, Texas native is stuck sitting on the sidelines with a broken leg. However, it's not all bad news for the 6-foot-0, 170-pound wide receiver. On Thursday, Tweedy picked up his fourth scholarship offer.
"North Texas offered me," Tweedy said. "I talked to Coach Dodge today. He said that the offer was going in the mail. I had talked to their coach about a month ago and I guess they had watched my film and said that they were extremely interested."

As a wide receiver, the high powered offense in place at North Texas obviously draws him to the Mean Green program.
"I think it's going to be pretty good," he said. "Coach Dodge is a good coach. I liked his offense a lot when he was at Southlake Carroll."
Tweedy has also picked up official offers from Army, Air Force and South Dakota State at this point in the process and has received heavy interest from Cal, Northwestern and Stanford as well.
While the broken leg has hindered Tweedy's camp plans, he hopes to possibly take some campus visits once things get healed up.
"I'm still on crutches and everything but once I'm cleared to walk, I'm going to go to North Texas definitely and maybe a couple of other schools."
Tweedy is working to be full speed by the time his senior season begins and says that there are no concerns from the schools that have offered regarding his injury.
