ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- In the end, there was no drama regarding the college choice of

Leonard Fournette. Long rumored to be headed to LSU, the
nation's No. 3 overall prospect committed to the Tigers during Thursday's Under Armour
All-America Game.
"Coach (Frank) Wilson, Coach Les Miles and I have a great relationship, " said Fournette, moments after he caught a 36-yard touchdown pass out of the backfield in the fourth quarter.
There was some thought that the five-star running back out of New Orleans (La.)
St. Augustine would follow Louisiana native Cameron Robinson to
Alabama, but the pull of the home-state school proved to be too much.
"People always say, 'Stay in-state and don't go to Alabama,'" Fournette said at Under Armour registration. "I enjoy LSU, too. Coach Frank Wilson is a great coach. He's always about personal life. He has a lot of energy and there's a lot of enjoyment."
Fournette took official visits only to LSU and Alabama although he said late last week he had taken an unofficial trip to Texas and the Longhorns were in his final three.
His recruitment to Baton Rouge
was a four-year journey as LSU first offered the in-state
star a scholarship when he was a freshman.
