Four Visits Set For Jersey Standout

Camden (N.J.) Woodrow Wilson star athlete Preston Brown has four official visits set up and three schools are vying for the fifth spot.
“I’m going to Tulane on Oct. 25, Iowa on Dec. 13, Purdue Jan. 17 and Indiana on Jan. 24 I have three schools that I’m interested in for my last visit. It’s between, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Boston College.”

Brown has offers from everyone on his list except for Notre Dame and Ohio State. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound wide receiver and outside linebacker has been tearing it up so far this season. In his first five games, he has 28 catches for 459 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he has 45 solo tackles with three sacks and seven forced fumbles.
“Most schools are recruiting me as a wide receiver and even as a tight end. I would play either in college, but I think I would rather play receiver.”
Head coach Mike McBride has nothing but praises for this young man.
“He is one of the best athletes I’ve ever coached. As a 'backer he explodes to the football and he runs very well. As a receiver Preston has great hands and is able to get himself open all the time. He is a dynamic player.”
Not only is Brown a top recruit, but he’s also tops in the class room. He scored an impressive 1,100 on the SAT and carries a 3.5 GPA.
