Four-star WR to announce soon

Before Christmas vacation, Memphis (Tenn.) Wooddale wide receiver Roderick Davis was all set to announce his verbal commitment at a press conference at his school. But the event was cancelled because of some technical issues and could be rescheduled when school resumes in January.
"They announced the press conference, but then had to have it rescheduled," Wooddale assistant Brock Green said.

The 6-foot, 192-pounder holds scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas Tech.
He has previously stated that the Rebels are his leader over the Red Raiders and that he plans to visit Oxford and Lubbock officially, along with Division I-AA Tennessee State.
Former Memphis Briarcrest Christian head coach Hugh Freeze is Davis' recruiter of record for Ole Miss.
Davis will participate on the East squad for the inaugural Offense-Defense All-American Bowl, which will be held Jan. 4 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He's not the only Division I-A prospect on his team. Wooddale quarterback Jeremy Perry has received attention from a number of schools. Most recently, Ohio University has been in contact with the strong-armed signal caller.
Davis is the nation's No. 26 wide receiver prospect and is a low (5.8) four-star rated prospect according to Rivals.com.
