Four-star WR Michael Ezeike happy after SEC visit

Michael Ezeike has been targeting a visit to Texas A&M for some time. Last weekend, the four-star receiver got a chance to go to College Station.

And it was everything he expected - and more.

“I’m really glad I took the official to A&M,” Ezeike said. “It was a great visit overall. I had a chance to hang out with the players and really get into detail with coach (Jeff) Banks on where he sees me playing on the field and how I could impact the offense.”

The Ontario (Calif.) Colony standout said the Aggies envision using him as a flex receiver in the ‘Y’ position and it seems Ezeike is plenty happy with being utilized that way.

The Texas A&M visit definitely went well but many other programs have been staying involved as well. The four-star recently took trips to Utah and Arizona State and both impressed him. Oregon, UCLA, Michigan and USC are other standouts at this point.

But Texas A&M has piqued Ezeike’s interest for a long time and that should continue after a successful trip to College Station.

As for coach Kevin Sumlin’s future, the Ontario Colony standout said he definitely wants to play for him but that he likes the program enough to still consider the Aggies if Texas A&M decides to move in another direction.

“Coach Sumlin is a great coach,” Ezeike said. “I don’t see him getting replaced but there is not really a problem there for me if he were to.”
