Four-star WR marks off Sooners

Four-star Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek wide receiver Calvin Johnson was set to take his first official visit this weekend, but has reversed field.
“I was going out to Oklahoma this week, but I decided to cancel,” he said. “They’re having a great season and all, but they’ve signed a couple of good wide receivers, and I just decided that it wasn’t for me. I’m not really looking at them anymore.”

So who does that leave for the Rivals100 Team member?
“Georgia, Georgia Tech and maybe North Caroina,” he said. “I haven’t scheduled my official visits yet, but I’ll probably look at those three.
“Georgia and Georgia Tech are still on top. They’re about equal right now. They both have all the things I’m looking for. It’s going to come down to how I feel when I take my visits.”
Johnson (6-4, 200, 4.44) said he’s thinking about making an unofficial visit to Georgia this weekend for the Auburn game.
Through 10 games this season, Johnson has caught 33 passes for 600 yards and eight touchdowns in helping lead Sandy Creek to a 10-0 record entering the playoffs.
Academically, he carries a 3.5 GPA and has scored a 1000 on the SAT, projecting as a full-qualifier.
