"I spoke with him and I asked him if he committed and he said he did," Williamson head coach Bobby Parrish said. "(UAB) is getting a definite game breaker that can play both sides of the football."
White chose the Blazers ahead of Kansas State, which also was making a late run at the talented prospect.
White is the nation's No. 28 wide receiver prospect and is the No. 14 overall prospect in the state of Alabama for the class of 2006.
The Wildcats and Blazers coaches both were in White's home this week. White had early attention from several SEC and ACC schools.
In picking UAB, White teams Prattville (Ala.) receiver Courtney Smith to give the Blazers a stellar pair of in-state wide receivers. Smith committed to UAB last week.
Ross Robinson is White's UAB recruiter of record.
