Four-star WR has top five

There is no question that four-star wide receiver Austin Usher (6-4, 200, 4.4) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Jefferson has everything that D-I colleges are looking for in a wide receiver. He’s tough, productive, has the size and speed that are highly coveted.
“Right now my top five are Cal, Washington, Oregon State, Arizona and Washington State,” Usher said. “Cal and Oregon State are kind of being my favorites right now.”

“I am also looking at Arizona State, USC and Oregon,” Usher said. “All of those schools have offered except for USC.”
“Cal is recruiting me the hardest right now,” Usher said. “I want to take all of my visits before I commit anywhere and right now I would like to visit all of my top 5.”
Usher was selected first-team all-city and first-team all-league as a junior after he caught 21 passes for 595 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His 12 touchdown receptions represent more than half of his catches. How is that for production?
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com Usher let it be known that he has set high goals for himself.
“I want to become the best wide receiver in the nation,” Usher said. “I am working hard on that goal.”
“Austin is legit,” Jefferson coach Doi Johnson said. “He can catch, jump and run.”
“Austin is very tough,” Johnson said. “He’s a football player now.”
What is Usher looking for in a college?
“I’m looking for a good environment, good coaches and the graduation rate in my major,” Usher said. “I will major in psychology.”
Usher has offers on the table from Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Colorado.
Something to keep in mind – Usher’s Brother, Whitfield Usher, is an offensive lineman for Oregon State.
