Four-star Willis trims list

Priest Willis' first cut wasn't made with an Exacto Knife. Instead, it was more of a chainsaw job. The No. 6 cornerback in the country took longer, broader strokes as he trimmed his list from more than 35 offers to a leaner 15.
The nitty-gritty it's not. But, hey, it's something.

The revised list of teams alive in his recruitment still requires its share of space and it goes as follows:
UCLA, USC, Oklahoma, Washington, LSU, Florida, Florida State, California, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Virginia, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Michigan.
"I don't have any favorites yet," Willis said of his new, "slim" list of options. "They're all equal to me."
They may not stay that way for long, though. The start of the four-star defensive back's visit itinerary isn't far away. And while he says he's unlikely to make a commitment while touring a campus, his approaching travels will establish a pecking order, if not result in another round of cuts.
The Tempe, Ariz., product says he's not done scheduling trips, but there are a few that have already been set in stone. Willis will take in a game at Notre Dame on Sept. 22, when the Irish host Michigan. He'll make his way to Nebraska on Oct. 27 and hit LSU on the weekend of Nov 3. Other visits are likely to be added as time passes, but, as is the case with his recruitment as a whole, a sense urgency is missing.
"I don't even know anything about a decision or when," Willis said. "I'm just going with the flow right now."
But don't expect the flow he's going with to produce a verbal commitment anytime soon. It could come well after his senior season at Tempe's Marcos De Niza or even turn itself into a Signing Day announcement. Whatever the case, though, it will be done on Willis' terms.
"There's no need to rush," he said. "I'm just going to take the process really slow."
According to Maxpreps.com, The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Willis recorded 52 tackles and two interceptions as a junior at Marcos De Niza last year.
