Four-star Texan chopping way to FSU

Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite cornerback Tarel Brown admittedly grew up a Florida State fan, so what did he think about his official visit to Tallahassee this past weekend?

“It was everything I thought it would be,” Brown, who is 5-foot-11 and 178 pounds, said. “It was cool to see the fans doing the Tomahawk Chop and see what it was like for real, live and in person. It was a site. I even helped them for a little bit.”
Was it site that pushes the Noles to the forefront in his recruitment?
“It’s going to be tough to top what I saw at Florida State,” Brown, a four-star selection that is ranked as the nation’s No. 4 cornerback, said.
“I visited Ohio State and thought that place was really great, but I’m starting to think that it was just big. I’ve been down to Texas and it was loud and the crowd was into it, but I guess I’ve not seen anything like what I saw at FSU.”
Brown, who has also visited Texas A&M and Ohio State officially, is still working on a date to Texas and maybe Tennessee or Notre Dame before he makes a final decision. He said he wanted to list FSU and Texas as his top two teams, but the Noles might have the edge for now.
“I was very impressed,” he said. “I’d have to give it a 10.”
