Four-Star TE Ready For Next Visits

Jonathan Stupar is undoubtedly one of the top overall prospects in the nation this year. Almost every school in the nation is after him, but he’s not ready just yet to narrow things down.
“Things are a little shaky right now,” said Stupar. “I’ve got some schools I’m looking at, but I’m not sure I can say they’re my favorites yet. That kind of implies I’m leaning towards them, but I’m really no where near making that decision.

“I do like Virginia and I was at their game against South Carolina two weekends ago for an official visit. I was really impressed. They were 0-2 going into the game and that says a lot. They came ready to play against a top 20 team and the crowd was fired up too. The support for the football team even in tough times is a good thing.
“I’d also say that I’m looking at North Carolina, UCLA, Boston College, Maryland, Iowa, Florida State and Arizona State. All of the schools I like the way they use their tight ends and they'd give me an opportunity to produce.”
Stupar has already planned two more official visits and both will come before the end of October. Arizona State and Florida State are the destinations and he hopes they’ll be as nice as the Virginia trip.
“The UVA trip was really cool because I got to see the school in a more up-close way.”
Stupar is 6-foot-5 and weighs 245 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds and is athletic and quick off the line of scrimmage. He has a knack for finding lanes in the defense and provides a big target. Stupar is also a standout defensive end.
“I’ll play offense in college, because that’s what all the coaches are telling me. I think I could play either way, but they like my hands and my pass-catching skills. I’m also a solid blocker.”
