Four-star TE busy playing host

College coaches have certainly made Garrett Dickerson a priority during this contact period. The tight end from Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic confirmed via text message that he has visited with numerous coaches over the past few weeks.
"No new offers yet, but some coaches have been by to see me," the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Dickerson wrote. "(Ohio State) Coach (Urban) Meyer was here on Monday. (Stanford coach) David Shaw was here on last Friday. Coach (Pat) Fitzgerald (of Northwestern) was here on Tuesday, so some coaches have been by to check in."

With these visits, Dickerson says Ohio State, Stanford and Northwestern might have a slight lead.
"Coach Meyer is a great guy and an ever better coach," he wrote. "Having him come out here and see me was an honor, and it shows me that they are really interested in me that he himself would come out and visit me.
"This shows that Stanford is very interested in me," Dickerson wrote. "I always have been very interested in them, and to see that they are very interested back is awesome.
"I have met Coach Fitzgerald numerous times, but again another great guy and even better coach," Dickerson wrote. "I'd say I'm closer with him than any other coaches because I got to know him through my brother's, Cameron Dickerson, recruitment, but he is another great coach.
"This may give them a little edge because it is clear that they want me if their head coach comes out to visit me, but it doesn't put them too far ahead of everyone else."
Dickerson does not know which school will offer him next, nor does he have any visits scheduled.
