"I was meeting with Coach Hiestand and he left for a few minutes and came back the recruiting coach," said the 6-foot-4, 286-pound Mustipher. "They took my dad and me to meet with Coach Kelly and he offered me in person."
What was Mustipher's overall impression of the visit?
"I loved the visit," he said. "We took a tour of the campus and stadium. We got to eat in the press box. We talked to academic advisors and visited the weight room. This was definitely my best visit so far."
How do the Fighting Irish compare to the other schools that have offered Mustipher?
"It was definitely a good visit and they are pretty high on my list of top schools," said Mustipher. "I want to get some more visits under my belt and see what other schools are like. They're definitely in good shape as far as recruiting goes."
Where might those visits be?
"I want to visit Michigan, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Clemson," he said. "I've been talking to Coach Mattison from Michigan. I think were going to set that visit up soon. And Coach Franklin stop by soon this week so we looking to set one up to Vanderbilt also. I'm hoping Vanderbilt is the next school to offer me."
Last season, Our Lady of Good Counsel went 11-1 and won their conference championship.
