Four-star still loves West Virginia

Is Deon Long still planning on attending West Virginia? This four-star wide receiver standout from Washington D.C. failed to qualify for the Mountaineers. He now finds himself at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia.
"I still plan on going to Morgantown," Long said. The fans are behind me and the kids look up to me. I plan on playing my ball there. I my take a few visits if I get offers. LSU, Michigan State, and North Carolina are some of the schools I would like to see. But West Virginia is still No. 1 with me."

What's it about the Moutaineers that stands out for Long?
"They are recruit quarterbacks to throw the ball and throw it down field. They are recruiting receivers to run down the field and stretch things. I like the coaches and everything. I am very anxious to see what they are going to do this season."
Long, 6-1 and 185 pounds, failed to qualify and is now at prep school. It's been a big adjustment for him.
"Everything is early and on time. They are teaching us about discipline getting up at 6 and in formation at 6:10. There is a learning curve.
The atmosphere here takes away from what you are used to. So you have no choice but to do what you have to do. I am here to study for the SAT and that's exactly what I am going to do."
