Four-star sets visits, takes unofficial

To a degree, four-star running back Jordon James has narrowed down his list to a top four, but he is looking to add one more to that list and he has not eliminated any of the other multiple college offers. One of those top four schools was visited by James and his family over the past few days.
"I went to UCLA (yesterday Friday June 19th), and coach (Rick) Neuheisel gave me and my family a tour of the campus," said James, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back from Corona (Calif.) Corona. "It went great. Beautiful campus…beautiful."

It was not his first trip to the UCLA campus, but it gave him a chance to learn more about how he might be used in the Bruin offense.
"I have been over there a couple of times with my brother, so I know it well, he said. "Yeah, they told me they really wanted me. Coach (Norm) Chow said he is going to use me like Reggie Bush."
Being compared to the former outstanding running back at USC is the highest compliment a high school running back could receive. How does James describe his style of play?
"Well, I'm fast, I have speed, I cut on a dime, elusive, shifty, and also, I can run with power too," James said. "I'm not just a speed guy, I can run with power too."
Recently, his offer list has expanded to just one short of the 20 mark. Oregon State just threw their hat into the ring two days ago. Four of his five official visits are all set.
"I set up four of them already for officials," James said. "UCLA is Nov. 21st, Arizona Nov. 7th, Notre Dame Oct. 17 I think…it is when they play USC, and Sept. 19 at Florida and I'm still looking closely at that fifth one."
Sometimes the parents will have a preference that could affect a recruit's decision, but that doesn't appear to be the case with James.
"They want me to be happy wherever I go."
