Four-star sets visit

Going into the season there weren't too many two-way players with the athleticism and talent as four-star running back/defensive back, Anthony Barr (6-4, 230, 4.5) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola. He was off to having a great year, but he had a season ending injury. His injury hasn't slowed down his recruitment, but he has narrowed his college choices to two.
"I'm been healing pretty quickly," Barr said in regard to his injury status. "It will be three months on the 11th. So with rehab and rest it is doing well.

"I have to have another surgery on the ninth to get something removed," Barr said. "Then three or four weeks after that I should be back to normal.
Barr also participates in track and hopes to be back in action this spring. It will all depend on how he feels.
That Barr is healing at such a good rate is good news for whatever school ends up landing him. He could make an impact on either side of the ball and at several positions. He has that kind of talent and versatility.
Some have compared Barr to former Heisman Trophy Winner, Eddie George as a running back, while others think he can play tight end, receiver, defensive back or linebacker. He brings a lot of ability to the table. He covers a lot of ground on the defensive side of the ball and there just aren't of players with his size and speed.
Earlier in the season, Barr took a trip to Notre Dame, where he is a legacy. His mom, dad and uncle all attended Notre Dame. His dad and uncle both played for the Fighting Irish.
"My trip to Notre Dame was great," Barr said. "I had a really good time."
That visit to the South Bend campus came earlier in the season when things were going a lot better for then head coach, Charlie Weis. Unless you have recently been out of the country, you are probably aware that Weis has since been fired.
Though Notre Dame is going through some tough times, Barr is still very interested in Notre Dame.
"I'm just sitting back and sort of looking to see what the next move is," Barr said. "I'm not going to jump to any conclusions. I'm just going to let it play out. It's not just about the coach, it's about the school. It goes beyond the coach."
UCLA is the other school that has a shot for the talented Barr's services.
"I think I will be visiting UCLA the weekend of the 15th of January," Barr said. "I like UCLA because it is a strong academic school and it is a team that I actually feel is on the rise. I think they are going to be really good in a couple of years.
"It has been between UCLA and Notre Dame for awhile now," Barr said. "So I'm going to keep an eye on both.
Does Barr have a preference where he would want to play on the next level?
"I really don't," Barr said. "I just want to go play where I can go and make the most impact right away and maximize my potential. Wherever the coaching staff feels I would fit best is where I will play.
