Maurice Nelson has rescheduled his official visit to Georgia he was
set to make this weekend.
"I played in the North-South All-Star Game down in
Myrtle Beach this weekend, so I had to rearrange things a little bit," he said.
"I'm going to go back to Georgia on Jan. 31 now."
Nelson (6-2, 210, 4.43) is a member of the Rivals.com
South Carolina Top 25 team and one of the nation's top-rated
safeties. His other scheduled visits include Clemson (1/10), South
Carolina (1/17) and Maryland (1/24).
"It's going to be a busy January for me," he joked. "But
I'm looking forward to it because all those teams are real close on my list
right now. They're all about equal, so I want to go and find out everything I
can about their whole school."
Any candidates for the fifth spot?
"Nothing for sure right now, but I'm still thinking
about North Carolina and Tennessee a little bit," he said.
Nelson capped his senior season at Crestwood with 120 tackles, eight
tackles for loss and three interceptions.
