Four Star running back sets trips

There is no question that one of the best running backs in the Golden State this season is Maurice Drew (5-9, 190, 4.5) from Concord (Calif.) De la Salle. Rivals were able to see Drew up close twice this season and he never failed to impress.
Drew has been sensational his senior season. He has rushed for 1,027 on 102 carries while averaging 10 yards per carry and has scored 11 touchdowns. Drew has also added five catches for 62 yards on his resume.

Drew could also help the lucky team that signs him as a special teams player. He is one of the state’s best return men. He has returned three punts and two kicks for a touchdowns his senior season.
It seems more than just Rivals100 has been watching the progress of Drew. He has offers from Washington, Washington State, USC, Cal, Oregon, Colorado and Wisconsin. Drew is being recruited hard by but hasn’t received an offer yet from Notre Dame, Michigan and Oklahoma.
Drew has committed to three visits but only with a specific date and that is USC. He will visit SC on January 17th. Colorado and Cal are in line for trips but the dates aren’t set.
Drew reminds many of former CU great tailback and now Buff running back coach Eric Bieniemy.
The scouting report on Drew is he’s power back with finesse. He’s also very adept at catching the football and a threat to take the pigskin to the house whenever he touches the ball.
Drew has outstanding strength as he benches 330 pounds, squats 500 and has tremendous explosion as his 34-inch vertical jump indicates.
