Four-star running back makes decision

One of the most talked about recruits from the state of Florida is running back Giovanni Bernard. Bernard, 5-9 and 198 pounds, stars for St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale. Today, this four-star running back prospect made his decision.
"I made decision today and I committed to Notre Dame," Bernard said. "It's just a great program all around and it has everything I am looking for in a school.

"I visited there for the USC game. They work like our coaches at St. Thomas. It should be an easy transition for me but I know it would be no matter where I go."
This past weekend Bernard made an official visit to Nebraska. He enjoyed everything Lincoln had to offer but in the end he knew he couldn't pass up South Bend and Notre Dame.
"Yeah, I went to Nebraska this past weekend. It was a really good trip. They had everything and laid it all out for me. But in the end the education was a big difference. A degree is huge from Notre Dame."
Bernard has been slowed down this season with a hamstring injury. He has only played in two games and is hoping to finally be healthy for the playoffs. This weekend they take on Deerfield Beach.
