Four-star returns from ASU

Four-star wide receiver Markques Simas (6-1, 195, 4.55) from San Diego (Calif.) Mira Mesa returned from his fourth official visit this weekend from ASU. Before Arizona State, Simas had taken official visits to Colorado, Oregon and San Diego State, In October, Simas took an official visit Michigan.
"Arizona State was a lot of fun," Simas said. "I liked the facilities and the guys on the team. I know a couple of ASU starters who come from San Diego."

"I didn't commit to Arizona State and I wasn't really tempted," Simas said. "Arizona State really let me know their situation and how I can help. They need guys who can make a play after the catch.
"I will take my fifth visit to Washington State in mid-December," Simas said. "I should have my college decision made a week or two after Washington State."
"If I had to say was a favorite, I would say Colorado," Simas said. "I like the small town that the school is located. It had a college atmosphere.
"Colorado had some of the best facilities that I have seen," Simas said. "Academically they are in the top ten of public Universities and that is important to my Mom and I."
Simas missed his last couple of games due to an injury and he had to watch his team lose in the first round of the playoffs to Poway.
"That was hard," Simas said. "Just watching and not be able to help the team that was tough."
Simas was selected to Offense-Defense All-American as selected by Rivals.com, but his injury will keep him out of action.
Simas was selected to the Rivals.com Rivals25 and ranks Simas as the No. 19 wide receiver prospect for the class of 2007. He is also a member of the Rivals.com California top 100 team landing as the Golden State's No. 27 player at any position.
