“I played good. I could have played better. But against that top rated quarterback in the country, Ben Olsen, who people said had never been sacked, well I got him,” Taurean said.
He currently has firm visits set with North Carolina State (Jan. 11), Rutgers (Jan. 18) and Auburn (Jan. 25) over the next three weekends but isn’t done there.
“My coach said to take all my visits to see what they have to offer. Facilities and classroom settings and all that.”
“I’m going to visit Nebraska and Florida too. I’m going to have a mid-week visit to Nebraska. We’re working on setting it up.”
Taurean, who at 6-3, 230 and has been clocked at with a 4.55, looks forward for the opportunity to check out what the Cornhuskers have to offer.
“What can you say about them? Their defensive schemes, their town, it’s a football town and everybody loves them there. The tradition, everything. Their defensive schemes will showcase my skills at defensive end or outside linebacker.”
He is also keeping an eye on the coaching situation at Florida and the rumors surrounding Coach Stoops.
“Their head coach, Stoops, we really hit it off. And Coach Shipp too, we talked like we were like brothers, you know. If both of them or just Coach (Stoops) goes there, then I might just go to Florida. But I need to talk to my coach first."
