Four-star receiver planning visits

Those who follow recruiting closely have known for quite some time that Shakim Phillips is an elite wide receiver prospect.
Recently, however, many had become eager to see him show off his skills. Until the Rivals.com Premier Showcase at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, Phillips had not publicly worked out this spring.

At the event he showed glimpses of why he has received so many accolades, as well as why he is currently ranked the No. 5 wide receiver and No. 33 overall prospect on the Rivals100.
"It went well," Phillips said of the event on Saturday evening. "We receivers didn't have much time, so we only got like three reps. Then it was over and we had to leave. It was cool, though. I did pretty good. Overall I think I did well."
With offers from every school he is interested in (Phillips reiterated that he is happy with his offer list and is not waiting on anyone at this point), it would seem to be the time to start to check out some of those schools.
"We're doing that Monday. Me and my coaches are going to sit down and decide where we're going," Phillips said.
"I'm going to Pittsburgh, Boston College, Maryland, West Virginia, Georgia and Tennessee. Those are the schools I know off the top of my head I'm going to see.
"We're gonna do all this in the next couple of weeks or so. Then I'll start to narrow it down."
Phillips said his trips to those schools would likely be a combination of camps and unofficial visits.
