Four-star RB talks recruiting

Austintown (Ohio) Fitch running back William Mahone is holding down the No. 78 spot on the Rivals100 and he has offers from schools across the region and beyond.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back is one of the top prospects in the Midwest.

While Mahone is saying he doesn't have any favorites at the present date, he admits the schools that he has already visited have a bit of an early edge.
"I've been to Michigan State, West Virginia, Pitt, Cincinnati and Penn State," Mahone explained. "You could say those schools I've been to have a little lead but I wouldn't say I have any favorites yet."
What is Mahone looking for in a school?
"I definitely want to see what playing time is looking like," he said. "Coaching stability, too. I want the coach to be there. I don't want that to change while I'm in school. Definitely academics but every school seems to be on top of that so I'm not worried."
This summer Mahone plans on taking unofficial visits to Michigan State, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Boston College. He doesn't have dates for those trips but he's committed to making it out to each of those schools.
Another school visited today and made it clear that they are interested.
"Virginia came in today and I met coach (Bill) Lazor briefly. If they offer I'll definitely go down there," he said.
