There is no doubt that running back Maurice Drew (5-9, 190, 4.4) from Concord (Calif.) De la Salle is one of the very best backs in the nation. Drew and his De la Salle teammates recently won another championship and the winning streak for the school now stands at a 139 games.
Drew’s football days are over at De la Salle but he is being very highly recruited by some of the best schools in the West.

The coach who is recruiting Drew for CU is former Buff great and nine year NFL vet Eric Beiniemy. Interesting enough Drew has been compared to the Beiniemy.

After the Cal visit this weekend Drew will settle into the holidays and he will get back into his traveling shoes for a trip to Oregon January 10th.
USC follows is next on Drew’s itinerary as the will visit the Trojans on January 17th. His final visit will be to Arizona on January 24th.
Drew rushed for over 1,500 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is a big player in big games. Drew scored ten touchdowns over his last three playoff games.
Drew’s performance didn’t go unnoticed as her has been invited to participate in the Cal/Florida bowl on January 4th to be held at Mount SAC.
The Drew household has been a very busy place since December 1st. The Drew’s have entertained coaches from all five of his favorite schools – Colorado, Cal, Oregon, USC, and Arizona.
Drew is keeping this one close to the vest and is keeping his options open and says all five schools are on an even surface.
