Brian Calhoun, who is the 5-foot-11, 190 pound running back from Oak Creek High School in Wisconsin has approximately 90 carries for over 900 yards and 18 touchdowns. He is averaging nine+ yards per carry through the first six games of this season.
Brian has about 25 offers including Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Purdue, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Penn State, Northwestern, Colorado, Nebraska, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Arizona. He is also getting contact from UCLA, Southern Cal, Florida, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Mississippi State and Alabama. "There are no new offers and everything is pretty much the same, as it was before," Brian said.
Brian has no official or unofficial visits set and is planning on his official visits being taken after the his football season.
If he had to make his official visits today they would be to the following (His comments follow):
Purdue - "They have a good offense and I could run and catch passes for them well. I would have a chance to play early as they are thin in running back depth and they have a well put together coaching staff."
Iowa - "They're the first team that recruited me and Iowa City is a nice place, as well as a good coaching staff."
Wisconsin - "It's my home state school, a good head coach in Barry Alvarez and a chance to play soon as they only have two running backs."
Colorado - "I like the running back coach and I heard it's a beautiful campus. It would also be something different."
Tennessee - (Medium Interest, but he lists them as one of his schools to visit) "They always have a good team. They are overloaded with talent right now, so they are the least favorite of the top five."
"High interest would be Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin and Colorado. Medium is Tennessee, Nebraska, UCLA, USC, Florida, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Mississippi State and Alabama and the rest would be low interest, but nobody has been eliminated totally," Brian said.
