Four star RB heading to Vegas

There is a rumor going round that four star JUCO all-purpose running back Alvin Marshall (5-10, 185, 4.4) from Compton Junior College has committed to UNLV after visiting the Rebel campus this weekend.
It has been reported in the Las Vegas Sun by the respected Steve Gourmand that Marshall will send in his signed LOI to UNLV today.

Marshall signed a letter-of-intent with Nebraska out of high school when he was a standout athlete at Los Angeles (Calif.) Locke two years ago. He helped Compton to a 7-3 record and to their first bowl appearance for over 40 years.
If Marshall indeed does sign an UNLV LOI then Rebel head coach John Robinson gets and early Christmas present.
Marshall is a super player with skills that could see him play on Sunday’s one day. What makes Marshall such a valuable commodity is his versatility. He has lined up at every skill position including quarterback for Compton JC.
Marshall had over 2,200 all-purpose yards as a sophomore. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards as a running back and has over 1,000 more yards catching, returning and passing the football.
Marshall had offers on the table from Fresno State, UNLV, USC, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Kansas and Nebraska. He told Rivals during an earlier interview that he was going to look at Fresno State real hard. His brother is currently a player at Fresno State.
Marshall was also rumored to have committed to Oregon and USC. Rivals100 has a phone call in to Marshall and has soon as we can confirm this committal we will.
If Marshall does indeed send his signed LOI to the UNLV Rebels, then John Robinson and his staff have pulled one heck of a recruiting coup.
Marshall is one of the best prospects on the JUCO level this season.
Marshall should graduate in December, meaning he will be able to participate in spring ball.
Marshall has 3x2 eligibility.
