Seemingly out of the blue, four-star running back Johnny Frasier committed to Florida State on Monday. The Princeton (N.C.) star had said he wanted to visit a number of other schools but decided to pull the trigger instead.
"They feel like family," said the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Frasier. "I like the roster and it just feels like a good decision. I think I will fit in great. I'm a bigger back and they run the power. I like it."
Florida State has had some great running backs in recent history and Frasier is excited to get started with Seminole running backs coach Jay Graham.
"I'm close with Coach Graham," he said. "We're tight. It's just like he's already one of my coaches. He gives me advice and everything. It's good to have that with the coaches I have now. With his help, you learn to be a leader at a young age. I think that will help me a lot."
Frasier visited Tallahassee back in February and is planning his official visit for later this year.
"Hopefully I'll be back there in September," Frasier said. "It will most likely be an official visit."
A visit to Florida State isn't the only trip Frasier wants to take.
"I'm still going to take my visits," he said. "I want to see Tennessee, Michigan State, LSU, Michigan and South Carolina."
Frasier, who ran for 3,045 yards and 45 touchdowns last season, does not have any visits planned.
