Four-star QB works out at Stanford

Tristan Gebbia was one of many top prospects to attend Stanford last weekend and he had a great time especially working with the coaches and getting a better feel for the program.
Stanford, generally slow to offer recruits, did not talk much about an offer for the 2017 four-star quarterback but Gebbia said he's definitely interested in the Cardinal especially after working out at camp.

"Stanford went well," Gebbia said. "I thought I did well at the camp and it's a really nice campus. I loved my visit.
"I'm not going to speculate too much (on an offer). We're going to keep in touch and see how it goes. I'm sure they would love to see how the first couple games go and go from there."
Gebbia, rated as the fourth-best pro-style quarterback in the 2017 class by Rivals.com, said he hit it off with Stanford position coach Tavita Pritchard. He also got a great understanding of some of the stuff Stanford runs for future reference.
"The quarterbacks coach is a fired-up guy," Gebbia said. "He works really hard to make sure his guys work hard and know what they're doing on and off the field. It was a good experience.
"It's an offense I could definitely be able to run at a high level. They have some interesting stuff they throw in and different looks and formations to get the defense off-guard. It's a lot of mental stuff on the quarterback's part. They let the quarterback be a coach on the field so it's a great thing."
The Calabasas, Calif., team should be absolutely loaded this season with Gebbia, 2017 standouts Darnay Holmes and Keyshawn Johnson, Jr., 2018 receiver Brian Hightower and others. More than the hype, Gebbia is focused on putting up big numbers and wins.
"We're capable of a lot of great things," Gebbia said. "We have to get to camp and work our tails off and make sure everything everybody is saying is a true statement. We can't be all hype. We have a lot of work to do."
So far, the 2017 quarterback has been offered by Alabama, Arizona State, Colorado State, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Syracuse and Washington State.
