Four star QB Williams ready to compete

Chicago (Ill.) Vocational quarterback Isiah Williams committed to Illinois in late May. He made an official visit to North Carolina Nov. 12, but leaves no doubt he is not only ready to make his official visit to Illinois this weekend, but also ready to compete for playing time for the Fighting Illini.
"I visit Illinois this Friday, Dec. 9," Williams said. "That's it. I'm definitely signing with Illinois.

"Number one, I like the academics. And I wanted to go somewhere I could compete for playing time and a starting job right away."
There are of course other things Williams likes about Illinois.
"I like the atmosphere there," he said. "I like the team chemistry. I like their play calling style."
The 6-foot-2 and 207 pound Williams had an outstanding senior season. He completed 56% of his passes for 1841 yards. Williams also rushed for 1441 yards, averaged a spectacular 21.8 yards per carry, and scored 17 times.
Williams is the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Illinois.
