Four star QB Mark Sanchez nears decision

Mission Viejo, Calif., standout Mark Sanchez says it won't be long before he selects a college.
"I'll decide within the next week or so," Sanchez said. "It's still four schools, USC, Notre Dame, Texas, and Ohio State."

Offensive line teammate Kevin Bemoll visited Ohio State over the weekend and upon his return sounded as though he is close to committing to Ohio State.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he (Bemoll) commits to Ohio State," Sanchez said. "But when it all comes down to it, I have to do what's best for me. That sounds selfish, but this is a four or five year decision. It would be awesome to go there with Kevin and Ryan (Williams). But I have to decide what's best for me."
"All four are fantastic places. All of them are awesome schools."
"One of the biggest things will be schooling of course. The biggest thing football wise will be the quarterback coach/offensive coordinator. That will be more important than the head coach."
"I could decide this week, or it could be next week. When I do I'll just call all the coaches and let them know."
The 6-foot-4 and 210 pound Sanchez is one of the top quarterback prospects west of the Mississippi. Sanchez completed 75% of his passes for 2400 yards during his junior season. He connected for 29 touchdowns with seven interceptions.
Sanchez is a teammate of Bemoll as well as Ohio State commitment, defensive end Ryan Williams.
